Somalia's prime minister accuses warlords of undermining peace
As the warlords met to weigh a possible military response to government's deployment of militia north of the capital Mogadishu, Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi's office said any such plans were "totally unhelpful and unacceptable".
On Wednesday, the UN special envoy for Somalia urged all of the country's political players and powerful militia leaders to become "peacelords" and join in the quest to restore a functioning central administration to the nation which has been in the throes of anarchy since 1991.
