The Prince of Wales's Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs (2,012 metres) at Ascot Racecourse during the Royal Ascot meeting in June.
It was first run in 1862 and named in honour of the Prince of Wales, Prince Albert Edward (later King Edward VII).
The race was absent from Royal Ascot in the period following World War II (when there was no Prince of Wales), and re-emerged in 1968, a year before Prince Charles' investiture in 1969, with a shortened distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs.

The Prince of Wales Stakes is a Grade I stakes race for Thoroughbred race horses first run in 1929.
Run at a distance of one mile and three-sixteenths, the Prince of Wales is held annually in July at Fort Erie Race Track in Fort Erie, Ontario.
It follows the June running of the Queen's Plate and precedes the Breeders' Stakes in August.
