Smoke causing havoc on Victorian highway : thewest.com.au (158 words)
The fire in the Boulder Creek area, north of the Princes Highway between Orbost and Cann River, is now about 500 hectares in size.
Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) state duty officer John Lloyd said the fire was creating smoke that would affect the Princes Highway in that area and asked motorists to slow down and take extra care in that region.
Mr Lloyd said while the fire was about three kilometres away from the highway, the risk was not high that it would cut across it.
