The University of Chicago School of Medicine was founded in 1924.
In 1968, in recognition of the extraordinary support extended to the school by the Pritzker family of Chicago, the name was changed to the PritzkerSchool of Medicine.
The art of medicine as well as application of the fruits of modern biomedical technology and research combine in the medical curriculum to enable the graduate physician to manage human disease and suffering competently and creatively as well as to continue the lifelong learning process established during the medical student years.
She is a graduate of the University of Chicago PritzkerSchool of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco and her fellowship at Children's Hospital in Boston.
Pescovitz is director of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetology and is a professor of pediatrics and of physiology and biophysics at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Pescovitz is a graduate of the Northwestern University Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Minnesota and Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She completed a fellowship in endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health.
