The Progressive Peoples Alliance(PPA) is a political party in Nigeria. The PPA is a practical example of how to form a viable alternate political party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria. The success of the PPA in Abia State (NIgeria) during the 2007 general elections is a classic example of how a grass roots political organization should be formulated. The PDP in Nigeria since 1999 has evolved as a grass roots political organization with all structures in place.
