Promises, Promises is a musical, based on the film The Apartment by Billy Wilder. The music is by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David, and book by Neil Simon.


The show was originally produced on Broadway in 1968, with a cast including Jerry Orbach. Songs include "I'll Never Fall in Love Again".

The plot concerns Chuck Baxter, who lends his apartment to businessmen having affairs. One of them, J.D. Sheldrake, happens to be seeing Fran Kubelik, with whom Chuck is in love.
