Encyclopedia > Protium

Protium can be several things:

See Hydrogen atom.
  • In botany, Protium is a genus of chiefly tropical American trees in the family Burseraceae , having fragrant wood and yielding gum "elemi".
  • In computer language, "Protium" is a universal, symbolic programming language system, based on a systematic a priori analysis of the tasks required for computation. It is polymorphic in type with considerable character flexibility. It is pasigraphic after the fashion of John Wilkins and Charles K. Bliss, and does not favour one host natural language over another.
