In Australian Aborigine folk-lore, Puckowe is the Grandmother spirit who lives in the sky and comes to the aid of medicine men.

Marilyn Pittman, whose indigenous name is Puckowe, is an Aboriginal woman whose people are from the Yuin country located on the south coast of the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).
This talk was given at a conference in the city of Darwin, Australia, which is in the extreme north of the country in the Australian Northern Territory.
Puckowe and many others come out strongly for complete abstinence from chemical intoxicants for people whose life is at risk if they drink, drug, or use.
