The Punjab States Agency was an administrative unit of British India. The agency was created in the 1930's, on the model of the Central India Agency and Rajputana Agency, and was composed of 34 princely states in northwest India formerly under the British Punjab Province. After 1947, the states acceded to either the Union of India or the Dominion of Pakistan. British India (otherwise known as The British Raj) was a historical period during which most of the Indian subcontinent, or present-day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, were under the colonial authority of the British Empire (Undivided India). ...
