Syed Qaim Ali Shah is a famous politician from the Pakistan Peoples Party and was a close confidante of the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He is a member of the Sind Provincial Assembly. Currently he is the provincial President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians. Qaim Ali Shah has remained as the Chief Minister of the Province from 2nd December 1988 to 25th February 1990. He contests elections from the Khairpur constituency and has turned out as the regular winner of the elections there. Only once, in 1997, he has lost election but was later elected to the Senate of Pakistan.
