Azerbaijan Democratic Republic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (1448 words)
The borders of the country were mostly the same as the current Azerbaijan Republic but ADR also encompassed regions such as Zangezur, Goycha, Bash Norshen, Basarkecher and Dilijan which were later transfered to Armenia during Soviet rule.
There were disputes with Azerbaijani populated areas such as: Georgia (Balakan, Zaqatala, and Qakh) and unofficial the Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus (Derbent).
There was also a major dispute with Armenia (Nagorno-Karabakh).
