Most commercial flights at QCIA (about 95%) are operated with jet aircraft. The terminal underwent a major renovation in 2001 to accommodate the increased regional jet traffic. A total of 442,737 passengers boarded at QCIA in 2004, compared to 407,769 in 2003—nearly a 9% increase in one year.
