Many famous players have played for the Piratas, including Teique Linares and Neftali Rivera. But most famous of all is the legendary Raymond Dalmau, who led the team to their four League Titles in 1970, 1977, 1978 and 1979. In the years 1980 and 1982, Quebradillas returned to the finals but were defeated by the Mets de Guaynabo.
Quebradillas had serious financial problems in 2003 that led them to lose the rights to all their players, among them Richie Dalmau and Ricardo Dalmau. The team was bought by new owners and was able to participate in the 2004 tournament of the Puerto Rican League.
However, economic difficulties continued and on September, 2004 the team announced they would not participate in 2005 tournament.

Quebradillas (ke-brah-DEE-yahs) was founded, in 1823, by Don Felipe Ruiz and Francisco A. Bravo who donated land, eight acres and one and one-half acres respectively to erect the municipal buildings.
Quebradillas is bordered by: the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Guajataca River to the west, Camuy to the east, and Guajataca Lake to the south.
The symbolism of the shield is taken from the name of the town, Quebradillas and from the attributes of its patron saint, Arcángel San Rafael of the Quebradillas.
