Later, in 1997, the city science high school of Quezon City was designated by the Department of Education - National Capital Region as the Regional Science High School for the National Capital Region.

QueSci celebrated its 40th foundation anniversary last September 17, 2007 and named the Administration Building's lobby, the Margate Hall, dedicated to its foundress, the late Dr. Hermingilda G.
