78 RPM Records (1120 words)
That 78 RPM record you are holding in your hand can be anywhere between 50 and 100 years old.
Using a 78 RPM stylus will allow you to play that record because the wider (than an LP) stylus touches the sides of the groove and does not reach the bottom where the debris is.
Remember that old 78 RPM records were made prior to this standard.
Wurco, Inc. - 45 RPM Records Box Sets & Originals (658 words)
These records were from a local jukebox operator and part of the inventory used to stock jukeboxes along the operator's route.
The only reason this record is not graded higher is because it was in a jukebox operator's collection and MAY have been played once or twice before removed.
In order to view the record that was displayed in the picture sleeve, the operator would cut a label-sized hole in order to view the record label ESPECIALLY if the record inside was NOT the same as what was indicated on the sleeve.
