On-air identity

The channel's traditional symbol is the Cross of Saint Bridget (much as that of BBC One is the globe), and this was used in all the channels on-air identities from 1961 until 1988. In 1995, RTÉ changed its corporate logo to the current design, the first time the cross also had not featured in the corporate logo.
