To determine the conditions under which road rage incidents are most likely to occur, a third supplemental survey on the characteristics of road rage incidents was also faxed to recipients of the national survey.
Nearly one-third (32%) did not know if road rage is a problem, or were neutral as to its status, and 14 percent do not believe that it is a problem in their area.
This may be due to the relative low incidence of road rage or to the fact that road rage is a relatively new phenomenon.
