Background Ragefire Chasm currently serves as a refuge for several extremist groups in the orcish race still loyal to the Burning Legion. Led by the demon Taragaman the Hungerer, the orcish warlock Jergosh the Invoker and the satyr Bazzalan, the Searing Blade populates the deepest parts of this cavern. The part first entered is guarded by elementals and earth-boring worms, and a large population of trogg.
Nomenclature While geographical short forms are highly varied in any MMORPG, the most common shortform referring to the Ragefire Chasm is "RFC". Players interacting in Ultima Online. ...
Instance zone The small dungeon offers six quests, two from Magatha in Thunder Bluff to deal with the troggs and find her lost servant (or rather his backpack), a quest from a warlock just outside the portal to collect the heart of Taragaman The Hungerer, the demon in the centre of the instance, a quest from Thrall, as part of a Searing Blade quest line to collect the head of the Satyr also in the dungeon. The final quest is less known about due to it being in the Undercity Throne Room from Varimathras, to collect two spellbooks which drop off random warlocks, who are members of the Searing Blade. Strategy wise, little is needed at this point beyond having someone designated main tank and main healer. All classes can participate easily in this dungeon which offers a green quality robe for casters at the very end, as well as a number of green random drops throughout. Enemies within the chasm are varied; from tunneling, acid spitting snakes to magma elementals. Troggs of the area are split into warrior and shaman classes. Searing Blade Cultists are split into warriors and warlocks, often accompanied by a non-elite Voidwalker. The bosses feature a demon Taaragaman, a more poweful warlock, Jergosh the Invoker minus the voidwalker and the Ragefire Chieftain Oggleflint who guards the corpse of Magatha's minion. This is the first instance available in the game and is a great starting point for the low level players who are just accessing special class abilities to get some more powerful gear. It is also a great way for new WoW players to learn how to play their character class in a party.
