Rajiv Lather, (born October 11, 1963) a poet from Karnal, India, began writing in 2001. In this short period Rajiv's haiku and haibun have been published in major English haiku journals like Modern Haiku, Frogpond, the Mainichi Daily News and Heron's Nest. His Bhopal Disaster poem is used as study material by the British Council.


In addition, Lather has written notable articles on Indian defence. His 1999 article Reorganization of Indian Defence Forces was published in the Indian Defence Review. As of 2004, more than 70% of his suggestions have been used and many of the rest are in the pipeline.
