In the comic book Doom Patrol, Raum is a demon who attempts to procure the Throne of Hell (abdicated by Lucifer) by using the souls of those who committed suicide. His underling, Semyaza, used a lute strung with the angel Israfel's heart strings to drive people to suicide. Raum revealed to Robotman that he is in possession of Steele's soul.
