Career

Ravikumar's directorial career started with Puriyaadha Pudhir in 1990. His next film Cheran Pandiyan was his first hit;which also was his friend Sarath Kumar's first film as hero. After that, Ravikumar made many films with Sarath Kumar with Nattamai(1994) turning out to be the biggest blockbuster of their combination. Then he landed himself with the major task of directing Rajinikanth in Muthu which he did successfully and therefore many other offers other than those with Sarath Kumar arrived his way including films with Akkineni Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Madhavan.
