Rayville is a village located in Ray County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 204.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛). 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 204 people, 72 households, and 55 families residing in the village. The population density is 328.2/km˛ (836.7/mi˛). There are 82 housing units at an average density of 131.9/km˛ (336.3/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 97.55% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.45% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 72 households out of which 31.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.8% are married couples living together, 15.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% are non-families. 15.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.83 and the average family size is 3.15.


In the village the population is spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 14.2% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 94.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 113.7 males.


The median income for a household in the village is $32,750, and the median income for a family is $35,000. Males have a median income of $31,250 versus $18,125 for females.
