One of the functions of Fine Art is to create new languages of mark making and representation, all the better to record the whole world in all its subtlety and detail. Technology continually provides us with new methods for record making. Cave or rock paintings are paintings painted on cave or rock walls and ceilings, usually dating to prehistoric times. ...
