What is Refugees?

Refugees is a simple internet community that was created as a homeland and haven for the members of the message board MegaMassMedia.com. It was abandoned by it's administrator and creator Silent Nature, leaving the memebers no choice but to leave and let the old board die a slow and painless death. The exodus took relatively little time for Thoth to orchestrate, with the help of his now co-administrator Birdbrain, the lost-but-found-again posters of Olde MMM Beware the JBD and Hempick, and regular poster Bobo McMuffin and JohnnyHitHead.

MegaMassMedia or MMM was a media based Website/Forum. It was founded by Silent Nature (Buy stickers), and was maintained by him, Nintyfresh, Bohica the Never Present Admin, and a slew of Mods - Bebop268170, The X, and Inch. It should be noted that since the Admins never did anything for the users of MMM, The mods became the highest authority towards the end of the board's life.

Refugees is currently a part of the Invisionfree network and is operated by Thoth87, his co-admin Birdbrain, and Bebop and JBD as moderators. The top-ten posters are of little consequence, considering there are only 23 registered users. They are a tough 23 though, with 3291 posts to their name as of November 7, 2005.

Great Scandals of MMM and MMM2

The vote for Moderator, in which Thoth87, Chileorgullo, Inch and Kymira won the final four. Inch and Kymira won the spots as Mods. There was actually some speculation to the results in voting, as several new accounts were created that, oddly enough, only voted and were never seen again. (Voted for Kymira, as it should be noted.)

Refugee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (3622 words)
Since refugee camps are generally set up in an impromptu fashion, and designed to meet basic human needs for a short time, when civil war or other problems prevent the return of refugees, or children essentially grow up in the camps, a humanitarian crisis can result.
The refugee camps soon came to be controlled by the former government and Hutu militants who used the camps as bases to launch attacks against the new government in Rwanda.
The refugee situation and the presence of numerous refugee camps continues to be a point of contention in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Refugee - definition of Refugee in Encyclopedia (436 words)
The practical determination of whether a person is a refugee or not is most often left to certain government agencies within the host country, this can lead to abuse in a country with a very restrictive official immigration policy.
That is, the country won't recognize the refugee status of the asylum seekers nor, for that matter, see them as legitimate migrants and consequently treat them as illegal aliens.
As such they are the only refugee population legally defined to include descendants of refugees, although many other refugee populations (notably the Biharis) have remained in refugee camps for more than a generation, making their children effectively if not legally refugees; see Palestinian refugee.
