'Umdat al-Salik wa 'Uddat al-Nasik (Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper) is a manual of Fiqh for SunniMuslims, mostly comprised of the teachings of Imam al-Nawawi, a Shafi'i mujtahid.
Accredited Muslim scholarship is bound by the strictures of the Koran, the Hadiths and Islamic Law (reflected in Reliance of the Traveller) and specific guidance is provided concerning the revelation of "the shameful points" of Islam.
