Encyclopedia > Repetto

Repetto is a famous ballet shoes company.

Created in 1947 by Rose Repetto, at the request of her son dancer and choreographer Roland Petit, Repetto acquired a world notoriety resting on the uncontested quality of its products. Since 1947, from Béjart to Nouréev, from Caroline Carlson to Eric Vuan, from Kirov to "les Folies Bergères", all came to the workshop of Pointe Shoe made on measure of Rue de la Paix near the Opera Garnier in Paris.

Today, the Opera National de Paris, the Opera de Lyon, the Ballet School of Marseille and Bordeaux call up on Repetto. In the same way, the 22 rue de la Paix remains an address of choice for the dancers from all over the world during their parisian rounds (Tokyo Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, etc) and even for Mrs Clinton during her trips to France.
