| In box 1 our bird was busy building the nest right up to roosting time at 18:09 GMT, and she (assumed) came in with a beakful of straw for the last time in the fading light, spread it around, and proceeded to go to sleep on top of the materials. |
| A visit to box 2 was interrupted by the resident bird, who sat close to the human, first in the tree which is used as a staging post, and later on the fence panel opposite the box. |
| The bird in box 1 was dilatory in laying eggs on the 28th and 29th April, but produced the fourth egg of its clutch today, on the morning of the 30th. |
