Revol was released by Manic Street Preachers on August 1 1994 and was the second single released from the The Holy Bible album that was released at the end of the month. This song is very much an autobiographical account of Richey’s attempts to hold down any meaningful relationships.

The CD included "Too Cold Here", "Love Torn Us Under" and also "Love's Sweet Exile" October 29, 1991 track number 6 from the debut album Generation Terrorists February 10, 1992. The 10" also included "Too Cold Here" along with "You Love Us (Heavenly Version)" May 7 1991 and a live version recorded in Bangkok of "Life Becoming A Landslide" February 7 1994, originally track number five on Gold Against the Soul June 20 1993. The cassette only had "Too Cold Here" extra.

It reached number 22 in the UK charts on August 13 1994.
