Encyclopedia > Rhinns of Galloway

The Rhinns of Galloway is a hammer-head peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Stretching more than 25 miles from north to south, its southern tip is the Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point of Scotland.


The peninsula has two burghs, Stranraer in the east and Portpatrick on the west coast. The rest of the land is moselt given over to farming.
