His parents, Stephen and Melanie Jones, and his older brother, Owen, appeared on the pitch at Anfield before the Champions League qualifying match against Toulouse dressed in Everton's blue amid a sea of red.
Neil Jones, Rhys's uncle, said: "Melanie is pretty sure Rhys will have a little mischievous grin on his face at the thought of being the cause of that."
