Rick Hilton was born in Los Angeles, California, the sixth of eight children of Barron Hilton (who was born to Hilton Hotel founder Conrad Hilton) and Marilyn June Hawley. In 1978, Rick graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in hotel and restaurant management.
