Roberts is also president and chief executive officer of the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association, which brings the healing ministry to millions through international crusades and nightly broadcasts of Something Good Tonight—The Hour of Healing. Since 1980, he has conducted crusades on six continents. Richard began accompanying his father on crusades as a young man singing with the ORU World Action Singers, and went to Haiti on his first crusade in 1968. Richard has earned three ORU degrees including a bachelor’s degree, a master of arts in Theology, and a doctorate in Ministry. Richard has recorded many albums and sang on his father's various television specials. He also recorded albums with his first wife Patti. On January 27, 1993, after serving as executive vice president for eight years, Richard was elected Oral Roberts University’s second president and chief executive officer. He is a member of ORU’s Board of Regents and serves as the co-chairman of the International Charismatic Bible Ministries conference. Richard is the author of many books, including "Claim Your Inheritance", "If You’re Going Through Hell, Don’t Stop", and "If You Catch Hell, Don’t Hold It".
