The municipality Ringsaker in the county of Hedmark, Norway, has 31,701 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002.


Ringsaker is on the east side of the lake Mjøsa, covering the area between Hamar to the south and Lillehammer to the north.


Ringsaker's main industries are agriculture, forestry, and manufacturing. The area of Sjusjøen has a relatively large cottage colony that is especially attractive for cross-country skiing vacations. Main population centers are Brumunddal and Moelv.
