The title stems from Mustaine's decision to take a risk with the musical direction of this album (a decision he later regretted making), at the suggestion of former bandmate Lars Ulrich, who himself (as well as the other members of Metallica) had taken a risk with the Metallica albums of the late 1990s.[citation needed] This decision resulted in mixed reviews for both the band and the album; a good portion hated the new sound and image, while another good portion praised the band at attempting something different and not rehashing the same formula time and time again. Song notes - "Crush 'Em" was also featured in Jean-Claude Van Damme's movie "Universal Soldier: The Return" (1999). Mustaine described "Crush 'Em" as Megadeth's Arena Sports Anthem. The song was used as entrance song by professional wrestler Bill Goldberg of the WCW fame, who also starred in "Universal Soldier: The Return". "Crush 'Em" also can be frequently heard in Ice Hockey arenas. Even the Tom Leykis radio show regularly uses snippets of "Crush 'Em" in between segments.
- Dave Mustaine mentioned that "I'll Be There" was inspired by the devotion of Argentine fans. On October 09, 2005 show in Buenos Aires, Mustaine said that the song belongs to Argentine fans. Mustaine said, "("I'll Be There" is) a gift for you, because we will not play this song ever again." and the song was played only in Argentina and Chile.
