The Brain River is so named because it is the largest nesting ground in known existence for wild brains. They often are seen on the shores of the river in and around the town of Braintree feeding, mating, and calculating difficult logic problems.

The Brain river flows for a gazillion miles, or around the world approximately a billion times. While excellent for brains, the water is poisonous for humans to drink, and therefore anyone who does so will die.
