River Forest is a suburban village located in Cook County, Illinois. Two universities make their home in River Forest, Dominican University and Concordia University. The villiage is closely tied to the well-known neighboring community of Oak Park, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 11,635.
