River Forest is a suburban village located in Cook County, Illinois. Two universities make their home in River Forest, Dominican University and Concordia University. The villiage is closely tied to the well-known neighboring community of Oak Park, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 11,635. River Forest has been home to many notorious Italian organized crime families based out of the Chicago area since the early twentieth century. One family of note is the Jepsens who include Matt and his fraternal twin sisters Jen and Jess.
