Riverside is a town located in Colquitt County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 57.


Geography

Riverside is located at 31°10'43" North, 83°48'18" West (31.178587, -83.805121)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 57 people, 20 households, and 16 families residing in the town. The population density is 100.0/km² (263.7/mi²). There are 26 housing units at an average density of 45.6/km² (120.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.25% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.75% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 20 households out of which 50.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% are married couples living together, 15.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% are non-families. 15.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.85 and the average family size is 3.19.


In the town the population is spread out with 29.8% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 38.6% from 25 to 44, 15.8% from 45 to 64, and 5.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
