Roberto Eduardo Viola Prevedini (October 13, 1924September 30, 1994) was a military officer who briefly served as interim president of Argentina from March 29 to December 11, 1981 during a period of military rule.


In 1983 he was arrested and sentenced to 17 years in prison for human rights violations committed by the military junta during the Dirty War.

Viola won the Cy Young Award with a 24-7 record in 1988, leading the AL in wins and winning percentage and finishing third in ERA (2.64) and strikeouts (193).
