Robin Finck (born November 7, 1971) is an American guitarist, currently the lead guitarist for Nine Inch Nails and since 1998, Guns N' Roses, replacing Slash as lead guitarist. He joined Nine Inch Nails as part of their touring band in 1994-95 for their Self-Destruct and Further Down the Spiral tours. Finck appeared with Nine Inch Nails at Woodstock '94,[3] and saw his first official release with them, the Closure video, come out in 1997.[4] Once the tour was completed, he took a job playing for the circus troupe Cirque du Soleil in the original tour of Quidam.[3] In 1996, he was recruited by Guns N' Roses to replace Slash, who had just quit the band that year, and worked on their still-yet-to-be-released new album, signing a two-year contract. Shortly after the tour ended in late 2000, he returned to Guns N' Roses and toured with them in Brazil, Asia, Europe and North America during 2001-2002.[3]


In the summer of 2006, Guns N' Roses toured Europe playing in front of over 700,000 people.[5] They finished up by touring North America for the remainder of the year. The following year, Guns N' Roses toured in Mexico, Australia and Japan.


As of April 4th 2008, it has been announced at nin.com that Finck will be rejoining Nine Inch Nails, most likely for touring purposes, and possibly for future records.


Personal life

Robin’s stage career began in 1987 when he starated playing guitar for Prowess at the age of 15 in his hometown in Georgia.
Clint Mansell recently completed a score featuring Robin Finck and Danny Lohner for the film Rain, which is scheduled for release towards the end of 2001.
Finck is currently working with the new line-up of Guns N' Roses, and they hope to release new material very soon.
