Robin Guthrie (born 4 January 1962, in Falkirk, Scotland) is a musician best known as co-founder of the Cocteau Twins. Following the break-up of the Cocteau Twins, Guthrie's first solo record, Imperial, was released in 2003 on Bella Union Records. In 2006, Guthrie signed a four album solo deal for Darla Records, the first product of which was the LP Continental. Subsequently, he has released two four-track EPs entitled "Everlasting" and "Waiting for Dawn" (a further solo track, titled "Argenta", can be found on the Darla Records compilation "Little Darla has A Treat For You v.24: Endless Summer Edition"), and two albums in collaboration with Harold Budd: "Before The Day Breaks" and "After The Night Falls". Guthrie's latest musical collaboration is Violet Indiana, with singer Siobhan de Maré (formerly of Mono).
