Rockingham is a city in Western Australia located 47km south of Perth. It has a population of 80,000 and forms the southernmost border of the Perth metropolitan area.
It was first surveyed in 1847, it was gazetted as a town in 1897.
In its early days, Rockingham was a busy port, shipping Jarrah and Sandalwood overseas.
The city fronts onto the sheltered waters of Cockburn Sound and is a popular holiday destination.

The statue now is kept at Patty’s home, which she has named “The Holy Family House of Prayer” and is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 – 10.30 am and 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm by appointment.
