The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time was a cover story of the 18 September 2003 issue of Rolling Stone magazine published in August 2003.[1] The most represented band was The Allman Brothers Band with four guitarists: Duane Allman (2nd), Warren Haynes (23rd), Dickey Betts (58th), and Derek Trucks (81st). The Yardbirds had three: Eric Clapton (4th), Jimmy Page (9th), and Jeff Beck (14th). Two female guitarists made the list: Joni Mitchell (72nd) and Joan Jett (87th).
