Massachusetts Route 18, is a south-north state highway in Massachusetts. Route 18 starts as a four-lane freeway offshoot of US-6 on John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway in downtown New Bedford. Route 18 ceases to be a four-lane freeway after it intersects with I-195 in New Bedford. Route 18 runs adjacent to Route 140 for a while from US-6 in New Bedford to the town of Lakeville. For a short duration, Route 18 combines with Route 105 on Bedford Street in Lakeville at the intersection of Lakeside Avenue and Bedford Street. Route 105 breaks off of Bedford Street and continues on Main Street at the intersection of Precinct Street, Bedford Street, and Main Street in Lakeville, while Route 18 continues on Bedford Street.
