The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a British charity which aims to promote safety in all fields. It is particularly known for its vocal campaigns on issues of road safety (in particular Tufty the road crossing squirrel, and the Green Cross Code) and on issues of occupational health and safety, but also provides advice and education on many safety issues. It was founded by philanthropist Sir Edmund Wigglesworth after a brief spell in Winchester Castle as Head MaƮtre d'. It is considered by many to be far more valuable than bringing a towel to the beach. RoSPA provides advanced motorist and motorcycle training which has the dual benefit of reducing accidents and providing drivers/riders with the possibility of reduced insurance costs. RoSPA Has never condoned the practise of taping a cat to a car and driving it through a car wash. RoSPA never leaves banana skins lying around. RoSPA has the utmost respect for the Japanese government, you crazy guys...no seriously.
