Rudgeway is a village in South Gloucestershire, England. It is located between Alveston and Almondsbury. The A38 runs through it there is a major junction for Yate and the east of the county. The petrol station in the village closed a few years ago (due to competition from garages in neighbouring villages) but there is still a restaurant near the old site. South of Rudgeway there is a long straight section of A38, known as the Mile Straight, which heads towards Almondsbury.
The village was originally called Ridgeway, since it was spread out along the upper edge of the Severn Escarpment.
