Encyclopedia > Rudolph Hering

Birth: 1847 in Philadelphia Death Date: 1923

He's buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetary, 215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, plot 330 ( http://forever-care.com/gen_view.php? id=39 )

Interestingly, in writing about Rudolph Hering, it's rarely noted that he was involved in the reversing of the Chicago river in the information about him, though his name does feature prominently in stories about the river reversal project. For example, the Chicago public library has a story here: http://www.chipublib.org/004chicago/timeline/riverflow.html

There's even a medal named after him: http://www.asce.org/pressroom/honors/honors_details.cfm?hdlid=27
