Rudy Demotte (born June 3, 1963) is a Belgian socialist politician who currently serves as Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health, in the Belgian federal government.


Life

He was born in Ronse (French: Renaix).


In 1999, he became the federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Scientific Research. In 2002, he became the Minister for Budget, Culture and Sport of the French Community of Belgium. In July 2003, he became Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health in the federal government.
