"Runaway" is a 1995 single by Janet Jackson, and the first single from Janet's greatest hits album, Design of a Decade 1986/1996. The song was written and produced by Janet, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis. It was one of two new songs included on the greatest hits album Design of a Decade 1986/1996. Janet described the song Asian, Indian, and African influenced with a hard hip hop beat. Janet keeps her fun-loving spirit alive. It is similar to her hits "Escapade" and "Whoops Now". Toward the end Janet breaks the fourth wall with the lyric 'Wait, I didn't quite hit the note/that wasn't such a good time'. Image File history File links Janet-Jackson-Runaway-84407. ...
