Rushall railway station (station code: RUS), opened in 1927, is on the Epping line in Melbourne, Australia. It is located at the end of Falconer Street, in a small cul-de-sac after the intersection of Rushall Crescent, in the suburb of Fitzroy North. It backs up against the Merri Creek, but is connected to Westgarth by a 80 m long narrow bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. This forms part of a pleasant east-west cycle route, which requires widening to accommodate people and bicycles as it passes underneath the station. Rushall railway station, Melbourne, at dusk. ... For many years, Yarra Council have tried to close off access to an area of Merri Creek parkland (which should form the Merri Creek trail) to the north by inexplicably welding closed an iron fence at the station, while members of the community quickly restore access with a hacksaw. This issue, and the clash between cyclists and pedestrians in the narrow underpass, make such a quiet place the focus of strong feelings.
