Under the pressure of the Russian Revolution of 1905, on August 6, 1905 Tsar Nicholas II issued a manifesto about the convocation of the Duma, initially thought to be an advisory organ.
It was dissolved in the course of the Russian Revolution.
The State Duma (Russian: Государственная дума (Gosudarstvennaya Duma), common abbreviation: Госдума (Gosduma)) in the Russian Federation is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia (parliament), the upper house being the Federation Council of Russia.
The pro-Kremlin United Russia party has taken the lead in elections to various regional legislatures across Russia (369 words)
It is followed by the nationalist Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) with 10.38% of the votes, the Communist Party with 9.16%, and the Russian Pensioners' Party with 7.96%.
According to the official, the LDPR, the Russian Party of Life, the Russian Pensioners' Party and the Party of Social Justice have failed to pass the required 7%-ballot threshold.
It is followed by the Communist Party with 14.84% of the votes, the Russian Pensioners' Party with 9.08% and the LDPR with 7.31%.
